Abstract
The concept of structured documents has been well-established since
the 1980's. Current word processors, e.g. Microsoft Office and
OpenOffice.org are able to save documents in structured XML-based
formats. However, even if both formats are written in XML they
differ in semantics. The topic of this thesis is to evaluate how
content and structure is stored in the two formats, and whether it is possible to write a two-way converter program between them.
