Abstract
Objectives: The objective of this study was to demonstrate a successful binding of Doxy hyclate onto a titanium zirconium alloy surface. Method: The coating was done on titanium zirconium coins in a cathodic polarization setup. Results: At 4 and 8 weeks of healing period, both index A and C, no significant differences were found regarding osseo integration between the groups with different biomolecule-coatings. The null hypothesis was there for discarded. Significance: In vitro studies suggest the efficiency of Doxy application for bone growth promotion and treatment of periodontal disease as well as peri-implantitis.
