Abstract
Exie is a highly innovative software company that markets and implements tailored IT solutions for corporate performance management with the application platform Exie®. Exie® is based on leading edge, allowing the system to work on top of clients existing ERP and business software. The company s revenues come from software leasing and consulting fees.
Performance Management software ties together the processes used to manage business performance by integrating multiple planning, execution, analysis and decision horizons, allowing management to make informed operating decisions and fine tune performance. (From Exie s homepage: www.exie.com)
Exie AS has just started to develop a new version of its Exie software, based on a radically different platform than earlier versions of Exie.
One of the major changes is the idea of running the database in memory at all times, instead of from disk.
Because of the architecture and technology changes, the need arose for finding both methods and tools which allow us to integrate customer s source systems with the new Exie 10.
Therefore this paper is a research on how ETL (Extraction Transformation and Loading) process should be carried out in the new version of the Exie software.
