Abstract
Denne masteroppgaven består av to deler.
This Master's Thesis consists of two parts: the first part is my translation of the first two chapters in The Quincunx. The second part comprises my discussion of Charles Palliser's style, followed by a commentary of my choices of translation strategies. I then go on to analyse the most important stylistic aspects in the text, discussing the challenges and obstacles they have meant for me as a translator and the solutions and conclusions I have drawn from it.
