Abstract
This is a study of how a pupil diagnosed with Asperger syndrome has experienced his first semester in high school. Through observations of the pupil in classroom situations and interviews with the group of professionals surrounding him, I have attempted to show what have functioned or not in this start-up phase.
The issue has been what the school can facilitate in order to get the best interaction possible between the pupil and the school. Another important issue has been to emphasize what is the most important in this academic planning, mastering the subject or the social skills.
The conclusions of the study shows that some routines ought to be altered in order for the pupil to have a good learning environment and to achieve the safety required to reach academic and social growth.
