Abstract
Along with the transition of Chinese economy, the relationship between graduates and the labor market in China changes accordingly. This thesis is based on a case study in Shanxi province and the data come from three different types of universities in this province. The aim of the study is to trace the trajectories of graduates from higher education institutions to the labor market in Shanxi province so as to gain an understanding of the relationship between higher education and the labor market in reform-era China.
