Abstract
This master thesis is a quantitative analysis of how Norwegian adult citizens are experiencing infringements on the internet, and the extent to which it occurs. To investigate the objective, a quantitative survey among internet users was conducted. The survey was designed by me, but the execution and collection of data was done by TNS Gallup among members of one of their panels with a nationally representative sample. The sample was later weighted according to composition of the national population to make the data suited for generalization. The study and analysis of the empirical data was carried out by me. The empirical findings show that infringements of adult Norwegian Internet users are not as frequent as one might expect. The end of the thesis concludes and discusses the findings and theme of the thesis, based on the theoretical approach.
