Abstract
A study of futures contracts traded on the Norwegian regulated market Fish Pool. The thesis identifies the main objectives behind EU and Norwegian financial market law, the material rules as implemented in the standard contracts used by Fish Pool and Nasdaq Clearing, and the role of the objectives in the material rules. The thesis also handles the private legal relationships in the futures trading space, and the intersection between public and private law in current financial market law.
