Abstract
This article argues that the name of the aggresive female character mentioned by the sender of the private letter SB VI 9121 is Seraeus, and proposes further that through her this letter connects the family of the veteran of the Roman army L. Pompeius Niger, to whose archive it belongs, with the family of Tryphon the weaver.
