My project is a collection of educational videos in clinical medicine created as a supplement to clinical teaching for medical students and others who could find it useful. The objective of the project is to create a tool that can help students improve their practical skills before practicing on real patients. The videos will also be a useful resource when students are preparing for the final exams. During the project I have planned and accomplished five educational videos covering important medical procedures. The videos are especially relevant to medical students following module 7 of the revised undergraduate medical school curriculum at the University of Oslo. I have focused on achieving professional looking results with good quality sound and photography. My goal has been to make the videos easy to understand in an educational way and the videos are based on updated science and knowledge in medicine. The final result of the project is five educational videos with a total duration of 49 minutes. They cover arterial blood gas sampling, echocardiography, local anesthetics, sterile gloves, uterus measurement and fetal lie procedures. My supervisor during the project has been Øistein Hovde, Associate Professor and Specialist in Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology at the Gjøvik hospital.
