Abstract
Absctract: Background: Parkinson´s disease is a neurodegenerative, chronic and progressive disease. In late stages, when per oral medication is not adequate to relive symptomes, advanced treatment should be consideres. Advanced therapy for Parkinson´s disease is Deep brain stimulation, Duodopa and Apomorphine. The aim of this project was to investigate geographical differences in deep brain stimulation and Duodopa for Parkinson´s disease patients. Methods: All 262 PD patients with initial startup of either deep brain stimulation or Duodopa in the periode 2009 – 2013, is included.
