Abstract
The purpose of this thesis is to explore small area variations in utilization of health care services provided by general practitioners in Norway. This thesis aims to (1) assess the extent to which general practitioners` (GPs) utilization of reimbursement rates vary across municipalities and (2) address explanations for observed geographical variation.
