dc.description.abstractThe following is a report of a study undertaken to identify the bacterial species in bone samples from patients suffering from osteoradionecrosis. This was done using polymerase chain reaction (PCR), cloning and sequencing techniques, where 16S rRNA was the gene used for analysis. The results from two patient samples will be presented. As far as we know, this is the first study that includes molecular genetic techniques to detect bacteria associated with osteoradionecrosis.nor
