This qualitative study explores the everyday work and life of contemporary journalists in the Republic of Serbia. This is achieved through interviews with 14 Serbian journalists working in print and broadcast media in Belgrade. The journalists were interviewed in-person using an open-question-type survey. The study examines the interviewees perception of their everyday life. Rather than focusing on journalists professionalism or ethics, this study examines how the interviewees describe their combination of practice and theory of journalism in the everyday life. The interviews are analysed, and recurring issues and topics emphasised by the interviewees are extracted and compared with findings of existing similar research. The interviewees descriptions are also considered in a context of how the situation in journalism is described in the media.nor
