This paper aims to shed light on labour rights, specifically the freedom of association and the right to collective bargaining. The thesis attempts to justify labour rights historically, philosophically, morally and politically in an effort to strengthen labour rights in the Norwegian Pension Fund - Global. In addition, the paper provides ways in which companies and investors can strengthen labour rights either in their operations or in investments. It highlights the various tools and institutions that we have at our disposal to create a corporate culture respectful of all human rights.
