dc.description.abstractOpen Source is a phenomenon that has gained wide attention by media and academics in recent years. The motivations for contributing to open source projects has been the topic for many research projects. In the following the way different scientific fields emphasise the importance of motivations is examined. These motivations are connected to different perceptions of what role property plays in open source. The connections are examined with the help of actor-network theory and the implications of these are discussed.nor
