Abstract
Mobile Ad-hoc Networks (MANETs) are wireless networks where autonomous
nodes connect directly to each other. They are not connected to an access point that coordinates communication, but rather take an active part in maintaining the network through participating in activities such as routing. Routing daemons are active on every node, and they ontinuously broadcast HELLO messages to maintain the links between eighbouring nodes. Disseminating data to the entire network is typically performed by flodding the data using broadcasts. Flooding through broadcasting is expensive and unreliable. This thesis investigates the possibility of creating a service that piggybacks data that is to be disseminated onto the broadcasts of the routing daemons.
